The game in Telge was also quite interesting. Top-ranked A3 Basket (9-0) played at the court of 7th ranked Telge (4-5). A3 Basket defeated Telge 82-72 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by A3 Basket. Telge managed to win second period 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. A3 Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Telge's 30. They outrebounded Telge 40-29 including 25 on the defensive glass. A3 Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Hollie Mershon (178-90, college: Drexel, agency: Interperformances) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. German center Ama Degbeon (188-95, college: Florida St.) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. A3 Basket's coach Jan Enjebo used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Deanna Weaver (180-92, college: Boise St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and international guard Klara Lundquist (173-99) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively. Five A3 Basket and four Telge players scored in double figures. A3 Basket have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Telge lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with five games lost. A3 Basket will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Telge will play against Uppsala (#10) and hope to secure a win.
