The game in Gwynneville supposed to be also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Bullets (9-8) played at the court of 6th ranked Illawarra Hawks (7-10). Bullets smashed Illawarra Hawks 100-74 on Monday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Illawarra Hawks. Bullets looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-91, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Fijian-New Zealand forward Mika Vukona (197-82) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Five Bullets players scored in double figures. The former international center David Andersen (213-80) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds and the former international center AJ Ogilvy (211-88, college: Vanderbilt) added 14 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bullets moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 36ers. Illawarra Hawks at the other side keep the sixth position with ten games lost. Bullets will meet at home higher ranked United (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Illawarra Hawks will play against the league's second-placed Kings and hope to secure a win.
