Top ranked Ryukyu GK (21-8) recorded its eighth loss in Okinawa on Monday night. Hosts were edged by sixth ranked Yokohama BC (7-22) 69-66. The best player for the winners was Tanzanian center Hasheem Thabeet (218-87, college: Connecticut) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international guard Takuya Kawamura (193-86) chipped in 23 points. Yokohama BC's coach Thomas Wisman used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Jeff Ayres (206-87, college: Arizona St.) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points and 19 rebounds and the former international guard Ryuichi Kishimoto (176-90) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Yokohama BC maintains sixth place with 7-22 record. Ryukyu GK at the other side still keeps top position with eight games lost. Yokohama BC are looking forward to face league's second-placed Diamond Dolphins in Nagoya in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ryukyu GK will play at home against Osaka Evessa and is hoping to win this game.
