Regular Season Round 28: Gunma - Kagawa FA 88-68

No shocking result in a game when first ranked Gunma (20-8) outleveled at home 6th ranked Kagawa FA (7-20) 88-68 on Monday. Gunma dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Kagawa FA's 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) who added 19 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) during the contest. Five Gunma players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) responded with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and his fellow American import guard Mizuki Abe (165-93) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Gunma have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-8 record, which they share with Hiroshima D. Kagawa FA lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 20 games lost. Gunma will face Fukushima (#4) on the road in the next round. Kagawa FA will play against the league's second-placed Dragonflies and hope to win that game.
