The game with biggest result difference took place in Urumqi. Local Magic Deer (21-6) outscored 10th ranked Blue Whales (13-14) 108-76 on Monday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Blue Whales. Magic Deer dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Blue Whales' 54. Magic Deer forced 19 Blue Whales turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was international Lili Wang (170-92) who scored 41 points (!!!) and 9 assists. Center Xu Han (206) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Five Magic Deer players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Belarusian center Yelena Leuchanka (196-83, college: W.Virginia) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds and forward Xuetong Zhao (185-94) added 17 points respectively. Blue Whales' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourteenth consecutive win for Magic Deer. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Beijing. Loser Blue Whales keep the tenth position with 14 games lost. Magic Deer will face Flame (#7) in Taiyuan in the next round. Blue Whales will play at home against the league's leader Vermilion Birds and hope to win that game.
