Regular Season Round 11: Al-Najma - Samaheej 98-51

Bottom-ranked Samaheej is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their tenth consecutive match to eighth ranked Al-Najma (4-5) 98-51 on Monday evening. Al-Najma dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Samaheej's 20. They outrebounded Samaheej 39-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for international Mohamed Buallay (-95) who led the winners with a triple-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals. American Kevin Rogers (206-86, college: Baylor) accounted for 20 points (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!) for the winning side. Four Al-Najma players scored in double figures. Al-Najma's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mujtaba Ismaeel came up with 8 points and 11 rebounds and Ahmed-Mohd Jafar added 15 points respectively for Samaheej in the defeat. Al-Najma moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Al-Hala. Samaheej lost their eighth game in a row. They still close the standings with ten games lost. Al-Najma will meet at home Al-Nweidrat (#12) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Samaheej's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Manama to the arena Bahrain Youth.
