There was a minor upset in Beijing where 18th ranked Fly Dragons (7-20) were outplayed by twentieth ranked Bayi Rockets (6-21) 102-76 on Wednesday. Bayi Rockets made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. Bayi Rockets outrebounded Fly Dragons 50-34 including 19 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Fly Dragons' players. The former international forward Haowen Guo (201-0) fired 27 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international center ZhongHao Xu (212-90) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Bayi Rockets players scored in double figures. American Thomas Robinson (208-91, college: Kansas) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (made all of his seven free throws) and Mengjun Xu added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
