Rather predictable result in Salamanca where tenth ranked Baskonia (7-9) defeated 12th ranked Tormes (4-12) 71-55 on Friday. They outrebounded Tormes 49-36 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Bahamas forward Tavario Miller (203-94, college: Texas A&M) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds and swingman Ivan Martinez (192-90) who added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Miller is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side Victor Moreno (195-98) responded with 7 points and 9 rebounds and center Osas Ehigiator (207-99) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Baskonia moved-up to ninth place in Silver. Newly promoted Tormes keeps the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Baskonia will face higher ranked Navarra (#3) in Pamplona in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
