Very predictable result in Montevideo where third ranked Defensor (10-4) defeated 11th ranked Atenas (6-10) 99-91 on Friday. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Patrick Sanders (201-85, college: Cal-Irvine) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and the other American import point guard Alfrie Kelley (183-85, college: S.Carolina) who added 20 points and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side forward Pablo Macanskas (201-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds and American-Jamaican power forward Phil Henry (203-91, college: E.New Mexico) scored 29 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defensor maintains third position with 10-4 record having 2 victories less than leader Nacional, which they share with Malvin. Newly promoted Atenas dropped to the tenth place with ten games lost.
