Regular Season Round 20: BC Lulea - Nassjo 90-74

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Nassjo (9-12) lost on the road to third ranked BC Lulea (15-6) 90-74. The game was mostly controlled by BC Lulea. Nassjo was better in third quarter 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-22 charity shots (90.9 percent) during the game. BC Lulea outrebounded Nassjo 44-32 including 30 on the defensive glass. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Denzel Andersson (203-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 19 rebounds and American guard Corban Collins (190-94, college: Alabama) who added 27 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. BC Lulea's coach Peter Oqvist allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Felix Terins (166-98) responded with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Franklin Williams (198-92, college: UMKC) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Nassjo players scored in double figures. BC Lulea have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 15-6 record having just one point less than leader Sodertalje. Nassjo at the other side keeps the sixth place with 12 games lost. BC Lulea will play against bottom-ranked Uppsala Basket (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Nassjo will play against Koping Stars (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
