An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Melbourne. Second ranked Boomers faced 4th placed Perth Lynx. Host Boomers (13-5) defeated guests from Perth (12-7) 64-59. Worth to mention a great performance of international power forward Eziyoda Magbegor (176-99) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Lindsay Allen (173-95, college: Notre Dame) contributed with 13 points and 7 assists for the winners. American guard Brittany McPhee (183-96, college: Stanford) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Asia Taylor (188-91, college: Louisville, agency: LBM Management) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Perth Lynx. Boomers keep a position of league leader, which they share with UC Capitals. Perth Lynx at the other side dropped to the third place with seven games lost. Boomers will play against Adelaide Lightning (#4) on the road in the next round. Perth Lynx will have a break next round.
