Rather expected game in Athens where 11th ranked Koroivos (5-7) was defeated by eighth ranked Diagoras D. (7-5) 83-69 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was center Kostas Macheras (205-84) who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Nikos Kokkalis (198-85) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists. Four Diagoras D. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized German forward Dimitris Cheilaris (206-90) who recorded 14 points and 9 rebounds and Latvian point guard Toms Leimanis (190-94) added 21 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Diagoras D. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Karditsas and Kastoria. Loser Koroivos dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost.
