There was a small surprise in Mahon where tenth ranked Menorca (6-10) defeated 7th ranked L'Hospitalet (6-10) 62-52 on Saturday. Menorca made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. L'Hospitalet was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Richaud Pack (191-92, college: Maryland) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward Fitzgerald White (201-91, college: Union, KY) who added 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side power forward Ivan Garcia (206-86) responded with 11 points and 5 rebounds and Senegalese center Mouhamadou Diop (212-87) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Menorca moved-up to eighth place in Silver. Menorca will face higher ranked Moron (#7) in Morón de la Frontera in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. L'Hospitalet will play at home against Albacete and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
