The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Sokol Lancut (12-5) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked GKS Tychy (9-7) 97-89. GKS Tychy looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Pawel Zmarlak (195-82, agency: Promotex) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Piotr Wieloch (182-94) contributed with 27 points and 7 assists for the winners. Swingman Filip Malgorzaciak (192-93) replied with 25 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Bartlomiej Karolak (199-92) added 24 points in the effort for Sokol Lancut. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. GKS Tychy have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 9-7 record. Sokol Lancut at the other side dropped to the second place with five games lost. GKS Tychy are looking forward to face Polfarmex (#11) in Kutno in the next round where they are favorite. Sokol Lancut will play on the road against SKK Siedlce (#16) and is hoping to win this game.
