The best player for the winners was American-New Zealand forward Marcel Jones (203-85, college: Oregon St.) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds. Ali Aqeel chipped in 14 points. Four Al-Ahli players scored in double figures. Al-Ahli's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Senegalese center Mansour Kasse (208-92) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and Qatari center Mohammad Abdullah (205-82) added 15 points respectively. Al-Ahli maintains fourth position with 8-2 record. Loser Sitra keeps the eighth place with seven games lost. Al-Ahli will meet league's leader Al-Manama in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Sitra will play against Al-Najma (#6) in Manama and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
