Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Amsterdam (3-15) was defeated at home by third ranked Groningen (13-4) 85-73. It was a very good performance for international Rienk Mast (203-1) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 9 rebounds. Croatian power forward Drago Pasalic (208-84, agency: Court Side) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Aaron Roye (184-88) replied with 18 points and 5 rebounds and Matthew Van-Tongeren (201-93) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Amsterdam. Five Groningen and four Amsterdam players scored in double figures. Amsterdam's coach Patrick Faydherbe rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion maintains third position with 13-4 record having just two points less than leader Zwolle. Amsterdam lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with 15 games lost. Groningen's next round opponent will be Leeuwarden (#7) on the road. Amsterdam will play against BA Limburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
