Very important is a road loss of second ranked United (11-7) against fourth ranked Bullets (10-9) on Sunday night. Visiting United was defeated by Bullets in a tough game in Brisbane 86-95. It was a great shooting night for Bullets especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international center Matt Hodgson (211-91, college: St.Mary's, CA) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Jason Cadee (186-91) who added 14 points and 9 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American point guard Casper Ware (178-90, college: Long Beach St.) with 29 points and 5 assists and international guard Mitchell McCarron (191-92, college: Metro St.) scored 12 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bullets maintains fourth position with 10-9 record. United lost fourth consecutive game. Defending champion dropped to the third place with seven games lost. Bullets will meet Adelaide 36ers (#5) in the next round. United will play against Cairns Taipans and hope to secure a win.
