Seventh-ranked Bendigo Spirit (7-12) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Perth Lynx (12-7) on Sunday. The visitors from Perth managed to secure only two-point victory 68-66. However their fans expected easier game. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 15-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Perth Lynx outrebounded Bendigo Spirit 39-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. American forward Asia Taylor (188-91, college: Louisville, agency: LBM Management) fired 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. International Katie-Rae Ebzery (177-90) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. American power forward Rebecca Tobin (195-88, college: Arizona St.) produced 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Nadeen Payne (188-93, agency: LBM Management) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Four Bendigo Spirit players scored in double figures. Perth Lynx moved-up to third place. Bendigo Spirit lost eleventh consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 12 games lost. Perth Lynx are looking forward to face league's second-placed Boomers in Melbourne in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bendigo Spirit will play at home against Adelaide Lightning (#4) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
