There was an upset when higher ranked IUL Tiber (6-9) lost on the road to fourteenth ranked Valmontone (4-9) 97-85 on Sunday. IUL Tiber was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for the former international power forward Luca Bisconti (208-82, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Daniele Grilli (190-87) contributed with 17 points and 7 assists for the winners. Five Valmontone players scored in double figures. The former international Federico Lestini (204-83, agency: SPORTlab Agency) answered with 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Alessandro Cecchetti (200-91) added 17 points in the effort for IUL Tiber. IUL Tiber's coach Renato Sabatino tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Valmontone moved-up to twelfth place in B. Loser IUL Tiber keeps the tenth position with nine games lost. Valmontone will face higher ranked Roma S.Azzurra (#7) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
