CBA top team - Flying Leopards (25-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Golden Bulls (12-17) in Hangzhou 123-95. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Golden Bulls. Flying Leopards dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Golden Bulls' 24 and made 33-of-38 charity shots (86.8 percent) during the game, while Golden Bulls only scored sixteen points from the stripe. They outrebounded Golden Bulls 48-32 including a 39-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Flying Leopards especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Golden Bulls' players. Golden Bulls were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international Ailun Guo (192-93) notched 33 points (!!!) and 6 assists to lead the effort and American forward Brandon Bass (203-85, college: LSU, agency: IPZ) supported him with 25 points and 12 rebounds. Four Flying Leopards players scored in double figures. Even 16 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) by forward Zeyi Liu (203-99) did not help to save the game for Golden Bulls. Xiaotian Lin added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Flying Leopards have an impressive 14-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 25-4 record, which they share with Guangdong ST. Golden Bulls at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with 17 games lost. They share the position with Jiangsu D.. Flying Leopards will play against bottom-ranked Bayi Rockets (#20) in Ningbo in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Golden Bulls will play at home against Sturgeons (#7) and hope to get back on the winning track.
