Regular Season Round 15: MKS DG 2 - Zaglebie 93-116

Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked MKS DG 2 (0-15) was outscored by eleventh ranked Zaglebie (6-9) in Dabrowa Gornicza 116-93 on Sunday. Zaglebie forced 22 MKS DG 2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a good game for power forward Jakub Czyz (205-95) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field). Swingman Kamil Wojciak (193-85) contributed with a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 15 assists for the winners. Zaglebie's coach Tomasz Sluzalek felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Guard Sebastian Stepien (184-99) answered with 26 points and 6 assists and center Bartosz Chodukiewicz (206-2) added 24 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for MKS DG 2. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Zaglebie. They moved-up to ninth place in Group C, which they share with Przemysl and Unia Tarnow. MKS DG 2 lost their fifteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 15 games lost. Zaglebie will face Przemysl (#11) at home in the next round. MKS DG 2 will play against Pogon RS in Ruda Slaska and hopes to get finally their first victory.
