Rather predictable result when ninth ranked Zaragoza (8-7) smashed at home 13th ranked UCAM Murcia (5-10) 88-68 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Zaragoza. UCAM Murcia was better in second period 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Zaragoza shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. It was a great evening for Nigerian-American swingman Stan Okoye (198-91, college: VMI) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points. Lithuanian Renaldas Seibutis (196-85) helped adding 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Swiss-American guard Askia Booker (186-93, college: Colorado) with 24 points and American guard Milton Doyle (193-93, college: Loyola, IL) scored 11 points and 5 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Zaragoza moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Manresa. UCAM Murcia lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Zaragoza will face league's second-placed Real Madrid on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. UCAM Murcia will play against CB Canarias (#5) and hope to win that game.
