Regular Season Round 30: Tokyo HT - Shinshu BW 67-77

No shocking result in a game when first ranked Shinshu BW (26-4) defeated on the road 6th ranked Tokyo HT (3-27) 77-67 on Sunday. Shinshu BW looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 18 rebounds. Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). At the other side the best for losing team was forward Cleanthony Early (203-91, college: Wichita St.) who recorded 22 points and 7 rebounds and center Jordan Richard (206-89, college: CS Los Angeles, agency: Slash Sports) added 15 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Shinshu BW have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 26-4 record. Tokyo HT lost thirteenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth place with 27 games lost. Shinshu BW will face league's second-placed Toyotsu FE in Nagoya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tokyo HT will play at home against Nishinomiya S. (#3) and hope to win that game.
