Very expected game in Lugo where 16th ranked Gipuzkoa (4-11) was defeated by twelfth ranked Leche Rio Breogan (6-8) 83-71 on Sunday. The game without a history. Leche Rio Breogan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American center Alec Brown (216-92, college: Green Bay) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Serbian point guard Aleksandar Cvetkovic (188-93, agency: BeoBasket) helped adding 11 points and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was Ukrainian forward Vyacheslav Bobrov (203-92) with 14 points and 8 rebounds and Georgian Beqa Burjanadze (201-94) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Four Gipuzkoa players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Leche Rio Breogan moved-up to tenth place. Gipuzkoa lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with 11 games lost. Leche Rio Breogan will face league's leader FC Barcelona on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gipuzkoa will play against La ICL Manresa (#8) and hope to win that game.
