Seventeenth-ranked Caceres Basket (4-13) made lots of trouble for eighth ranked CB Granada (9-7). CB Granada managed to secure only three-point victory 67-64. However their fans expected much easier game. CB Granada outrebounded Caceres Basket 45-24 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. 26 personal fouls committed by Caceres Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by point guard Josep Perez (184-94) who scored that evening 11 points and 4 assists and naturalized Argentinian forward Alejandro Bortolussi (202-89) supported him with 14 points. Even 12 points and 6 rebounds by center Victor Serrano (211-89) did not help to save the game for Caceres Basket. Point guard Guillermo Corrales (180-95) added 11 points and 4 assists for lost side. Four Caceres Basket players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. CB Granada moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Forca Lleida and Ourense. Caceres Basket lost third consecutive game. Caceres Basket at the other side keeps the seventeenth position with 13 games lost. CB Granada's next round opponent will be higher ranked Palencia Baloncesto (#4) on the road and it may be quite challenging game. Caceres Basket will play against Real Canoe (#12) and hope to win that game.
