Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Senigallia (8-5) rolled over at home 8th ranked Nardo (7-7) 109-89 on Sunday. Senigallia dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Nardo's 38 and made 23-of-23 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Nardo was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for guard Andrea Maggiotto (190-88, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Guard Giacomo Gurini (192-84) contributed with 27 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winners. Point guard Simone Bonfiglio (181-88, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 18 points and the former international point guard Gionata Zampolli (189-85) added 20 points in the effort for Nardo. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Senigallia maintains sixth place in B with 8-5 record. Loser Nardo dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. Senigallia will face Porto S.Elpidio (#12) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Nardo will play against the league's second-placed Pescara and hope to win that game.
