Very expected game when 12th ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (3-10) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Beer Sheva (7-6) 73-68 on Monday. Beer Sheva outrebounded Hapoel Tel-Aviv 49-35 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American Jakim Donaldson (204-83, college: Edinboro) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 20 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import forward Jordan Swing (198-90, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side the former international Raviv Limonad (191-84) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds and Nigerian power forward Alade Aminu (207-87, college: Georgia Tech) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Four Hapoel Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Beer Sheva maintains fifth place with 7-6 record. Hapoel Tel-Aviv lost their third game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Beer Sheva will face league's second-placed Maccabi T-A in Tel-Aviv in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play on the road against Galil Gilboa (#8) in Rosh Pina and hope to win that game.
