Regular Season Round 21: Lucenec - Inter Bratislava 57-89

SBL top team - Inter Bratislava (15-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Lucenec (1-18) 89-57. Inter Bratislava dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Lucenec's 28. The best player for the winners was American point guard James Kinney (187-90, college: San Jose St.) who scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international Tomas Mrvis (200-91, agency: 011 Sports) chipped in 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Duke Shelton (208-95, college: Tampa) who recorded 17 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import point guard Ike Agusi (180-95, college: Queens, NC) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Inter Bratislava. They maintain first place with 15-3 record. Lucenec lost their eighth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 18 lost games. Inter Bratislava's next round opponent will be Rieker KN (#6) in Komarno which should be theoretically another easy game. Lucenec will play on the road against Prievidza and hope to win that game.
