Regular Season Round 9: Gorizont - Dynamo M. 50-58

There was a small surprise in Minsk where twelfth ranked Russian Dynamo Moscow (2-4) defeated 10th ranked Belarusian Gorizont (2-5) 58-50 on Thursday. Gorizont trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 14 after three quarters before a 13-7 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 50-58 at the end of the game. Natalya Potemina (185-88) stepped up and scored 21 points and 5 steals for the winners and forward Ekaterina Chistyakova (184-89) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Dynamo Moscow's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was guard Volha Ziuzkova (171-83) with 13 points and 5 assists and center Marina Kress (193-80) scored 6 points and 9 rebounds. Dynamo Moscow moved-up to tenth place. Gorizont lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost.
