The game had a very big importance for second-ranked HLA Alicante as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Silver. HLA Alicante smashed 3rd placed Villarrobledo at home 94-75. They outrebounded Villarrobledo 38-26 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. HLA Alicante looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Guinean forward Cheick-Sekou Conde (203-92) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. American guard Devin Schmidt (193-94, college: Delta St., agency: Duran International) chipped in 24 points and 5 assists. Five HLA Alicante players scored in double figures. American Jalen Nesbitt (198-93, college: N.Florida) produced 11 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Arturo Fernandez (182-90) added 12 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Newly promoted Villarrobledo keeps the third place with six games lost. Villarrobledo will play next round against Vic trying to get back on the winning streak. HLA Alicante will try to continue on its current victory against eleventh ranked L'Hospitalet on the road.
