Very important is a road loss of second ranked Magia Huesca (12-5) against tenth ranked Carramimbre (9-8) on Friday night. Visiting Magia Huesca was crushed by Carramimbre in Valladolid 84-50. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Magia Huesca. Carramimbre dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Magia Huesca's 22. They outrebounded Magia Huesca 46-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. Center Sergio De-La-Fuente (198-89) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and point guard Oscar Alvarado (184-91) chipped in 6 points and 12 assists. FYR Macedonian forward Stojan Gjuroski (203-91, college: Louisiana Tech) responded with 10 points and guard Agustin Sans (195-95) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Carramimbre moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Forca Lleida. Magia Huesca at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. They share it with RETAbet BB. Carramimbre will play against Leyma Basquet (#12) in Coruna in the next round. Magia Huesca will play on the road against the league's leader Real Betis (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
