Regular Season Round 13: Blois - Gries/Oberhoffen 79-72

The game between third ranked Gries/Oberhoffen (8-5) and twelfth ranked ADA Blois (6-7) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Gries/Oberhoffen was defeated by ADA Blois in a tough game in Blois 72-79. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Gries/Oberhoffen. ADA Blois looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Benjamin Monclar (191-88) contributed with 20 points (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. Four ADA Blois players scored in double figures. American forward Evan Yates (198-91, college: Ashland) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists and Spanish guard Javier Forcada (193-88) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Gries/Oberhoffen. Gries/Oberhoffen's coach Ludovic Pouillart rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. ADA Blois moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Newly promoted Gries/Oberhoffen dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Nancy. ADA Blois is looking forward to face Poitiers (#8) on the road in the next round. Gries/Oberhoffen will play against Sluc Nancy and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
