Not a big story in a game in Nanchang where 5th ranked Beijing Great Wall (22-9) was defeated by second ranked Bayi Kylin (28-3) 99-81. They made 24-of-30 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. 28 personal fouls committed by Beijing Great Wall helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for international Meng Li (185-95) who led the winners and scored 37 points (!!!) and 8 assists. International Mengran Sun (197-92) accounted for 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Four Bayi Kylin players scored in double figures. American center Tina Charles (193-88, college: Connecticut) came up with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and international Ting Shao (183-89) added 17 points and 4 assists respectively for Beijing Great Wall in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Bayi Kylin. They maintain second place with 28-3 record behind leader Guangdong. Beijing Great Wall lost their third game in a row. Defending champion keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Bayi Kylin's next round opponent will be Tianjin (#17) which should be an easy win for them. Beijing Great Wall will play against Fujian Nanan (#16) and hope to win that game.
