We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked L'Hospitalet (6-11) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Albacete (6-11) 68-62 on Saturday. Albacete made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Tyler Rudolph (198-96, college: Minot St., agency: Duran International) who scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Marcus Van (201-87, college: Cent.Michigan) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Joan Creus (185-92) produced 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and Senegalese center Mouhamadou Diop (212-87) added 13 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for the hosts. L'Hospitalet's coach Jose Manuel Hoya rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Albacete maintains tenth place in Silver with 6-11 record. Albacete will face higher ranked Moron (#7) in Morón de la Frontera in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. L'Hospitalet will play at home against the league's leader HLA Alicante (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
