Leader HyPo delivered the fourteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 5th ranked Forssan Alku (7-9) 99-86 in Hyvinkaa. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. HyPo looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The former international center Taru Tuukkanen (192-77, college: Xavier) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) for the winners and American guard Randi Brown (170-96, college: New Orleans) chipped in 30 points and 6 assists. American forward Mia Loyd (180-94, college: N.Dakota) responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Emily Kinneston (172-96, college: American, agency: Gamble Sports Management) scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for HyPo. They maintain first place with 14-3 record. Forssan Alku at the other side dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. HyPo will meet at home Kouvottaret (#4) in the next round. Forssan Alku will play against Tapiolan Honka and hope to secure a win.
