We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Salou (6-7) was edged on the road by tenth ranked Valls Nutrion (6-7) 73-71 on Saturday. Valls Nutrion looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Quite impressive performance for swingman Alejandro Alba (193-77) who helped to win the game recording 7 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Josep Sole (195-97) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Guard Eloi Galofre (195-87) replied with 16 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Marc Olle (179-93) added 12 points and 5 assists in the effort for Salou. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Valls Nutrion moved-up to ninth place in Group C-A, which they share with defeated Salou. Valls Nutrion will face higher ranked Martorell (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Salou will play against Castellbisbal (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
