There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Santurtzi (5-7) lost on the road to bottom-ranked Goierri (4-8) 78-69 on Saturday. Goierri made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for center Ander Arbulu (195-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Aitor De-Miguel (186-83) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Juan Torres (196-92) replied with 15 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Jon Urtxulutegi (201-96) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Santurtzi. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Goierri maintains tenth position in Group A-A with 4-8 record, which they share with Univ.Valladolid. Loser Santurtzi keeps the eighth place with seven games lost. Goierri will face higher ranked Pas Pielagos (#3) in Renedo de Pielagos in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
