There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Melilla Baloncesto (10-7) lost on the road to eighth ranked Ourense (10-7) 68-60 on Saturday. Latvian center Davis Rozitis (215-90, college: Hawaii) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Naturalized Venezuelan guard Jhornan Zamora (196-89) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Rozitis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Txemi Urtasun (192-84) answered with 13 points and 6 rebounds and Lithuanian center Gediminas Zyle (210-88, agency: Octagon Europe) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Melilla Baloncesto. Melilla Baloncesto's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Ourense. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Melilla Baloncesto. Ourense will face CB Granada (#8) at home in the next round. Melilla Baloncesto will play against Araberri and hope to win that game.
