No shocking result in a game in Athens where fifth ranked AEK (9-4) defeated 12th ranked Kolossos HH (2-10) 94-79 on Saturday. The game without a history. AEK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 24 Kolossos HH turnovers. Strangely Kolossos HH outrebounded AEK 34-22 including 21 on the defensive glass. Georgios Tsalmpouris (216-96, college: Iowa St.) fired 15 points for the winners. International Giannoulis Larentzakis (195-93, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 11 points. American guard Stevie Browning (190-93, college: Marshall) produced 23 points and 5 rebounds and the former international center Dimitris Mavroeidis (208-85, agency: Octagon Europe) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five AEK and four Kolossos HH players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. AEK moved-up to fourth place.
