Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Cartagena (1-10) lost at home to fifth ranked Jairis (6-5) 85-73 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for Italian-Argentinian Juan-Ignacio Jasen (200-85) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Jorge Lledo (203-80) contributed with 26 points for the winners. American guard Kyauta Taylor (188-95, college: Notre Dame, OH) replied with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and Sudanese-American forward Aluk Adub (198-91, college: Florida Memorial) added 24 points in the effort for Cartagena. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Jairis moved-up to third place in Group E-B. Cartagena lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with ten games lost. Jairis will face UPCT Basket (#6) in Cartagena in the next round. Cartagena will play on the road against UCAM Murcia II and hope to win that game.
