Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Varese (2-13) was defeated at home by fourteenth ranked Albino (4-10) 65-57 on Saturday. It was a great evening for forward Ilaria Bonvecchio (175-94) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points. Guard Federica Iannucci (172-93) helped adding 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four Albino players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Francesca Sorrentino (185-98) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and guard Francesca Misto (176-95) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Albino moved-up to thirteenth place in A2. Newly promoted Varese keeps the sixteenth position with 13 games lost. Albino will face higher ranked Marghera (#9) in Venezia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Varese will play on the road against the league's leader Alpo VF (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
