Regular Season Round 16: Zaglebie - Przemysl 94-98

Everything could happen in Sosnowiec at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Przemysl and 9th ranked Zaglebie had identical 6-9 record. But Zaglebie was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Przemysl 98-94 on Saturday night. Strangely Zaglebie outrebounded Przemysl 47-35 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Pawel Strzepek (190-0) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals and guard Jakub Kucharski (186-0) who added 20 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side power forward Jakub Czyz (205-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 23 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and swingman Mateusz Gazarkiewicz (193-91) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Przemysl (7-9) moved-up to ninth place in Group C. Loser Zaglebie dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. Przemysl will face league's leader AZS AWF Mick. in Katowice in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Zaglebie will play at home against Pogon RS (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
