No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Bologna (11-4) won against on the road 10th ranked Cagliari CUS (6-8) 66-54 on Saturday. They outrebounded Cagliari CUS 48-16 including a 17-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for swingman Elisabetta Tassinari (175-94) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points and 8 rebounds. The former international point guard Raelin DAlie (168-87, college: Wisconsin, agency: LBM Management) helped adding 13 points. The best for the losing side was Polish Aneta Kotnis (186-89) with 11 points and 7 rebounds and guard Erika Striulli (170-90) scored 10 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Bologna maintains fifth place in A2 with 11-4 record. Loser Cagliari CUS keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. Bologna will face San Giovanni (#9) in Valdarno in the next round.
