Regular Season Round 12: Tresnjevka - Podravac 97-45

Rather expected game in Zagreb where 9th ranked Podravac (2-10) was crushed by sixth ranked Tresnjevka (7-5) 97-45 on Sunday. The game without a history. Tresnjevka led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Podravac's 26 and made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Tresnjevka forced 30 Podravac turnovers and outrebounded them 56-30 including a 25-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Podravac's players. Worth to mention a great performance of center Josipa Pavic (189-99) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and American center Cassidy Clark (186-95, college: Truman St.) who added 20 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Valentina Simunic (175-98) with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Petra Mihalic (-99) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tresnjevka moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Zagreb. Podravac lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with ten games lost. They share it with Brod na Savi. Tresnjevka is looking forward to face Mursa (#11) in Osijek in the next round where they are favorite. Podravac will play on the road against Plamen Pozega and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
