Everything went according to plan in Valencia where fifth ranked Picken Claret (8-5) won against 9th ranked Gran Canaria (5-8) 87-80 on Sunday. They outrebounded Gran Canaria 51-26 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Belgian Jana Raman (185-91) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Swingman Paula Garcia (175-99, agency: ProDep Management) chipped in 25 points. Picken Claret's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Sparkle Taylor (178-95, college: UTEP) produced 27 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Cassie Breen (178-95, college: Cent.Michigan) added 19 points respectively for lost side.
