The most exciting game of round 15 in the Serie A took place in Brescia. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-best Umana Venezia (10-5) to eleventh ranked Germani BR (6-9) 72-70 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Germani BR dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Umana Venezia's 32. His fellow American import guard Jared Cunningham (194-91, college: Oregon St., agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Austin Daye (211-88, college: Gonzaga, agency: Alti Sport) who recorded 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international swingman Stefano Tonut (194-93) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively. Four Umana Venezia players scored in double figures. Umana Venezia's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Germani BR moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Dolomiti En. TR. Umana Venezia at the other side dropped to the third position with five games lost. They share it with Vanoli CR. Germani BR is looking forward to face higher ranked Openjobmetis VA (#5) in Varese in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Umana Venezia will play on the road against Fiat TO in Torino and is hoping to win this game.
