The game in Norrkoping supposed to be also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked Kalmar (4-7) played at the court of 7th ranked Haga BG (2-7). Kalmar smashed Haga BG 113-59. The game without a history. Kalmar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Haga BG's 28 and had 25 for 34 from the free-throw line, while Haga BG only scored one point from the stripe. They outrebounded Haga BG 45-31 including a 37-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kalmar players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Haga BG's players. 28 personal fouls committed by Haga BG helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Mike McDevitt (203, college: Franklin Pierce) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds. Slovenian Jan Tratnik (190-89) contributed with a triple-double by scoring 27 points, 18 rebounds and 13 assists for the winners. Center Jonathan Eriksson (207-0) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Jacob Burke (171-2) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for Haga BG. Haga BG's coach David Bergstrom already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Kalmar maintains sixth place with 4-7 record. Haga BG lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with seven games lost. Kalmar will have a break next round. Haga BG will play at home against KFUM Fryshuset 2 (#4) and hope to win that game.
