Regular Season Round 15: Roma Elite - Civitanova 70-93

Everything went according to plan when ninth ranked Civitanova (7-6) outscored on the road 11th ranked Roma Elite (5-10) 93-70 on Sunday. Civitanova dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Roma Elite's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for point guard Alessandra Orsili (167-1) who led her team to a victory scoring 24 points and 6 assists. Guard Ada De-Pasquale (173-95) helped adding 22 points and 6 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Four Civitanova players scored in double figures. Civitanova's coach Donatella Melappioni felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The best for the losing side was Croatian forward Mia Masic (180-93) with 22 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Marta Grattarola (170-90) scored 17 points and 6 assists. Civitanova moved-up to eighth place in A2. Newly promoted Roma Elite dropped to the twelfth position with ten games lost. Civitanova will face Savonese (#14) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Roma Elite will play against Umbertide and hope to win that game.
