Regular Season Round 14: A3 Basket - Telge 76-49

Damligan top team - A3 Basket (10-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Telge (5-6) in Umea 76-49. The game was mostly controlled by A3 Basket. Telge managed to win fourth quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Telge to just 7 points in first quarter. A3 Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Telge's 24. They outrebounded Telge 46-22 including a 20-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. A3 Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Telge's players. German center Ama Degbeon (188-95, college: Florida St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. American guard Tiffany Brown (165-86, college: Georgia South) contributed with 11 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four A3 Basket players scored in double figures. A3 Basket's coach Jan Enjebo felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Patricia Elias (161-0) replied with 22 points and the former international forward Ellen Astrom (170-96) added 10 points and 4 assists in the effort for Telge. A3 Basket have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-0 record. Telge at the other side keeps the seventh place with six games lost. A3 Basket are looking forward to face Wetterbygden (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Telge will play against Mark in Kinna and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
