Regular Season Round 31: Ehime OV - Shimane SM 64-90

The game between closely ranked teams ended with third ranked Shimane Magic's (21-10) road victory over 4th placed Orange Vikings (12-19) 90-64 on Monday. Shimane Magic forced 21 Orange Vikings turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for Hungarian Rosco Allen (208-93, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 20 rebounds. Swingman Takuya Soma (181-91) helped adding 16 points and 5 assists. Four Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. At the losing side American swingman Lakeem Jackson (195-90, college: S.Carolina, agency: SDJ Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Shimane Magic moved-up to second place, which they share with Sendai 89ers and Toyotsu FE. Loser Orange Vikings keep the fourth position with 19 games lost. Shimane Magic will face league's second-placed Cyberdyne IR in Tsukuba in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
